PETER NJUGUNA, EBS

Peter Njuguna is the CEO of the Sacco Societies Regulatory Authority (SASRA) in Kenya, with 18 years in regulation. SASRA under his leadership has proposed a legal framework for establishment and regulation of Secondary SACCOs, as a strategy to promote strategic and meaningful cooperation between SACCOs to unlock the power of solidarity economy and gain from economies of scale while enhancing supervision effectiveness and efficiency for sustainable and financially sound industry. Peter holds degrees in Mathematics (BSc. UoN, Kenya) Development Finance (Msc. Strathmore University, Kenya), and Operations Research (Msc. LSE, UK) and is a Certified Public Accountant and Executive Leadership Coach.
