Masoud Abdalla

Masoud Abdalla is a seasoned investment professional with over 10 years of experience in development finance, impact investing and investment banking in the sub-Saharan market. He begun his career as an actuarial assistant in an insurance firm and later transitioned roles into investments banking where he spent five years playing a leading role in raising capital for his clients both in the debt and equity capital markets.
Currently, Masoud is a Senior Investment Officer at Finance in Motion, a world-leading impact asset manager with over a decade of specialist experience in generating positive change in emerging markets. As a senior investment officer, Masoud he oversees a portfolio for two emerging market funds in East, Southern, and Anglophone West Africa dedicated to the conservation of biodiversity, sustainable use of natural resources and mitigation of the impacts of climate change.
Masoud holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of Florida, with minors in Actuarial Science and Real Estate, and graduated Summa Cum Laude. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and an Associate Member with the Institute of Certified Investment and Financial Analysts (ICIFA). His expertise includes client relationship cultivation, deal origination, financial modelling and analysis, budgeting & forecasting, business valuation, and negotiations.
