Ladé Araba is a senior Development Finance Executive and Board Member with over 22 years of experience. She is the Chairperson of the Renewable Energy Performance Platform (REPP) and she leads Financial Services at the African Fertilizer and Agribusiness Partnership (AFAP) where she oversees AFAP’s US$40 million Trade Credit Guarantee Program. Ms. Araba also serves as a Non-Executive Director on the Board of African Risk Capacity (ARC) Ltd where she Chairs the Finance and Investment Committee. She is a Board Director of MPower Ventures and is also the Co- Founder/President of the Visiola Foundation. She was previously a Sustainable Finance Consultant with the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) Namibia. Previously, she was Executive Director of AlphaMundi Foundation and Managing Director for Africa at Convergence Blended Finance. She was Technical Adviser to a Former Minister of Finance and was previously a Senior Investment Officer in Infrastructure Finance at the African Development Bank where she originated a portfolio of infrastructure projects valued in excess of US$2 billion.
She served as Technical Adviser to the Executive Secretary of the UN Economic Commission for Africa (UNECA). Ms. Araba was an Enterprise Development Specialist at the UN Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) and also worked for the QED Group LLC in Washington, DC. She holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from Thunderbird School of Global Management and a dual Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree in Management Information Systems (MIS) and International Business from the University of Oklahoma (2001).
